We will now take a quick look at the causes and risk factors of the kidney stones.
Causes of Kidney Stones

Some people are prone to having kidney stones and it is believed that heredity plays a role in such cases. Most kidney stones are composed of calcium. That is why, high concentration of urine is considered a high risk factor. The problem may pass from one generation to the next
People taking high calcium-containing antacids for a long time are more susceptible to stone formation in their kidneys. The problem is closely related to consuming vitamins A and D excessively. Antibiotics and dilantin are also associated with kidney stone formation. Ayurvedic treatment is meant to offer a complete cure and solution for kidney stones.
: According to the doctors and scientists, global warming is going to be the leading cause of kidney stones. Hot climate along with low fluid intake leads to dehydration. Due to high concentration of urine, there are chances that the chemicals will come in close contact and create stones.
Risk Factors for Kidney Stones
: Some factors enhance the chances of having kidney stones. For example, inadequate fluid intake results into dehydration that is closely linked to stones in kidneys. Presence of certain chemicals in too high or too low volume has been proved to increase the risk. In addition, reduced urinary amount, some medical conditions including urinary tract infections, reflux, renal tubular acidosis etc are among other risk factors.
: offers a complete and permanent solution by making you familiar with the most common risk factors for kidney stones. And then, there are chemical risk factors. Citrate in low level or cystine, uric acid, sodium and oxalate in high level are among the major chemical risk factors. Some medical disorders such as colitis, arthritis, high blood pressure, gout, diarrhoea etc may also work as a catalyst for stone formation.
Symptoms of Kidney Stones
: The small-sized kidney stones rarely cause any problems. The small stones are often detected during medical examinations for other diseases. If the kidney stones create a blockage, cause excruciating pain or relocate into the ureter, the problem is diagnosed even in the initial stage. The pain usually starts below ribs on the back, slowly radiates towards abdomen and sometimes travels towards the groin or genital. As a result, the patient may feel sick, a burning sensation while urinating or tend to vomit. In the severe cases, these problems are accompanied by chills and fevers. Ayurvedic treatment for kidney stones is aimed at relieving the symptoms while uprooting the underlying causes through individualized herbal remedies and overall health improvement.
